MONEY, MEANING AND METRICS IN THE EMERGING 100 BILLION INDIGENOUS ECONOMY
In 2019, the Indigenomics Institute hosted Indigenous leaders, businesses and organizations, government, educational institutions, private industry and corporations, to highly anticipated Indigenous led economic design conference.
The vision was to share and integrate an Indigenous economic worldview at the “National Indigenomics by Design: The 100 Billion Dollar Indigenous Economy Conference”. The dynamic and innovative design conference focused on modern Indigenous economic design and presents the concepts to transform the landscape of growth of the Indigenous economy.

Highlights of the conference include a keynote by the Cree singer-songwriter, tireless advocate, innovative artist and disrupter of the status quo, Buffy Sainte-Marie.
- Conceptualizing a national Indigenous economic research framework.
- Introduced the concept of an Indigenomics economic mix- a series of economic levers to support the focused and designed growth of the Indigenous economy towards achieving a 100 billion Indigenous annual economy.
- Introducing the concept of the development of the Indigenomics Economic Council to support the metrics and outcomes of the emerging 100 billion dollar national Indigenous economy.
- Lastly, it will unleash the inaugural ‘10 To Watch list’ of innovative Indigenous businesses, entrepreneurs, community economic development corporations and innovative partnerships and business models that are demonstrating leadership in the development of the 100 billion Indigenous economy.

INDIGENOMICS BUSINESS EXHIBITION
Organizations, businesses and corporations are invited to participate in the Indigenomics Business Exhibit during the Indigenomics by Design 100 Billion Dollar Indigenous Economy Conference on Tuesday June 25th 2019, 8am - Wednesday June 26th, 2019 at 5pm. Set up will be on Tuesday morning, 6:30am - 7:30am in the River Rock Show Theatre.
There are a limited number of booths available to share information and promote their company . Please express an interest to the email below. We will be deciding spaces based on ensuring there is a sufficient opportunity for a wide range of companies. The spaces will be 10x10, and cost $500. This does not include food or accommodations. |
INDIGENOMICS ARTS MARKET
There are a limited number of spaces available for Indigenous makers - artists, designers, small business owners, who are interested in promoting their products to the Indigenomic Delegates.
Spaces will be available from Tuesday June 25th 8:00am to Wednesday June 26th, 2019 5pm. Set up is on Tuesday morning between 6:30am - 7:30am. Please send your interest to the email below.
