BOBBI RACETTE

FOUNDER AND CEO, VIRTUAL GURUS
Bobbie Racette is the Founder and CEO of Virtual Gurus, a talent marketplace that leverages proprietary technology to match organizations with highly skilled Canadian and American virtual assistants. She recently launched askBetty, which gives busy individuals easy instant access to a personal assistant for basic admin tasks through the convenience of Slack.

Named as one of 50 Changemakers for 2021 by Report on Business magazine, Bobbie was also recently honoured by Startup Canada as Indigenous Entrepreneur and Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. She is a Cree-Metis woman who prides herself on building an inclusivity-first company, championing for indigenous people and the LGBTQ+ community.

Bobbie is an unstoppable force in the Canadian startup community, serving as a mentor for eCommerce North and a member of both The51’s Community Council and Calgary’s CORE Working Group. She is also co-founder of the Alberta LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce and a passionate mentor to First Nations youth interested in technology and business.

Forbes recently announced Bobbie’s company as being one of the top 19 Innovative Tech Startups to watch. Virtual Gurus works with clients who are Fortune 500 executives, startup entrepreneurs and small business owners.

When she’s not busy leading a team of almost 400 people and thinking up innovative ways to grow Virtual Gurus, Bobbie enjoys brainstorming new approaches to create positive social impact for under-represented communities.
